Visual Director of GW’s Fashion Business Association
The GW Program Board hosted a student event with a red-carpet dress code at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. On behalf of GW FBA, Emma produced a reel to promote the event, showcasing students’ fashion. Emma directed and edited an engaging reel that sold out the event, with a 563% increase in views than the account’s previous reels. The video showcased a diverse group of students and advice on what to wear to the upcoming event.

GEORGE V MAGAZINE
Individuality
This was the first year that the entire board of the Fashion and Business Association (FBA) was featured on the cover instead of just the president. The reason for this change was to showcase the individuality of the leaders of the organization, which was the theme of the issue.
I decided on bright, colorful outfits to contrast the usual all black fashion in the business world, which was perfect for the Individuality theme for the FBA’s magazine. Despite being dressed for “business”, they have all found ways to express their individuality, even including a daring Canadian tuxedo. The backdrop for the shoot was the iconic Capitol building in Washington, D.C. which is the location for FBA.
I took the photo with my camera on a tripod connected to my phone, which gave a funny nod to my role as a content creator and the Visual Director of FBA. Taking a self-portrait while arranging a group of people required an understanding of composition and effective communication with my team. When taking a self-portrait while arranging a group of people, it's important to multitask, being aware of one's surroundings and the placement of each individual in the shot, while also taking the photo and ensuring that the camera is set up correctly.
